Please note: it is stud policy to scan all mares for pregnancy 18 days after their last covering.If you do not want your mare scanned then she should be taken home after last covering.
Mares taken for covering from february to end august.During feb and march please book in advance as mares can only be taken subject to stable space!!
NEW TERMS FOR 2007 ONWARDS. For all stallions - Mares scanned in foal at stud but who are scanned empty by October 1st will receive a free return (Vet cert required and for named mare only) for the following year. Walk in mares/Mares who leave before scanning terms: Free return if scanned empty by october 1st in the year they are covered.Free returns are for the following year only unless otherwise arranged.(vet certificate will be required stating the mare is not in foal).
ALL STUD FEES PAYABLE ON ARRIVAL. **NO STUD FEE MEANS NO COVERING**
Walk in mares studfee cash only before covering.
KEEP FEES. £4.00 per day. Mare with foal at foot £5.00 per day. Keep : Stabled with turnout or out subject to weather and space.All mares will be in small electric fenced paddocks(individual unless mares know each other),with shelter,water and best quality haylage. Short stay (whilst being covered) welcome.Walk in by arrangement.
*Any mare covered by Redhot spot in 2006(not including any free return mare from previous year)who produces a solid coloured foal, that shows no signs of spotting out by end of 2007,will receive a free return in 2008 to August skyhawk. FOR MARES COVERED BY 30/06/06.
